About Us

Myodesopsia International is a United Kingdom-based charity with a global reach established in 2023. Our mission is to support those who suffer from the ophthalmological condition known as myodesopsia by raising awareness and understanding internationally whilst sponsoring research and collaboration to accelerate the development of safer, more effective, and more accessible treatment options. We are listed in the Register of the Charity Commission for England and Wales as Charity Number 1202141.

We are a group of myodesopsia sufferers who understand intimately the urgent need for better treatment options. We come from different countries and professional backgrounds, but we believe that our common lived experience of the condition, our diverse skillsets, and our extensive network of contacts with clinicians, researchers, and fellow patients position us well to catalyse the change we all hope to see.
