Want a seat at the table?
As a membership organisation, Myodesopsia International depends on the contributions of patients and allies like you. The more individuals we represent, the louder our collective voice will become.
Becoming a member entitles you to:
Attend the charity's Annual General Meetings (AGMs)
Run for and elect candidates to our Board of Trustees
Vote on matters related to the organisation's priorities and strategic objectives
Members are also welcome to volunteer their time and skills to help build our movement. To learn more about opportunities to get involved, please reach out to us by email at contact@myodesopsiainternational.org

Membership FAQs
Why should I join?
For many years, myodesopsia has not been viewed as a serious problem by most medical professionals and has not received the attention it deserves from the research community. In part, this has been due to a lack of patient-led organisations with the ability to effectively represent the needs of those who suffer. We exist to do just that: to shine a light on an underappreciated and poorly understood condition and to give voice to everyone impacted by it.
By joining as a member, you will add your own voice to the many others already demanding change. You will be supporting a charity that campaigns on your behalf to bring about a world where myodesopsia is recognised, understood, and easily treated.
Can I donate without becoming a member?
Yes. Simply click on the Donate button at the top of the page, which will take you to a link to donate directly via PayPal. Alternatively, you can sign up for a free Associate Membership, which entitles you to receive our newsletter, and make a one-time donation when you do.
What are the different types of membership available?
We currently offer several paid membership tiers. The Accessible, Member, and Champion tiers can be renewed every six or twelve months, while the Seed Funder tier is a one time donation that comes with a lifetime membership. All paid (non-Associate) tiers have the same voting rights within the organisation. We simply want to give you the flexibility to pay what you can afford, in the way that is most convenient for you.
Can I change my membership type, for example from Associate to a paid membership?
Associate members can purchase any of our membership types with voting rights at any time, but will need to first cancel their associate membership to do so. Switching between other membership types will require the same process. Please reach out to our team if you need any help with this.
How can I cancel my membership? Will I get a refund?
A 14-day cooling-off period applies to all of the Charity’s paid memberships. Refunds of membership fees may be requested by emailing contact@myodesopsiainternational.org at any time within 14 days of purchase. After 14 days, the Charity is unable to offer refunds for membership fees but will still honor cancellation requests by deleting identifying information from its roster of active members. Associate members can also ask to be removed from the roster at any time.
Support for Myodesopsia International's membership management system is provided by Membermojo.
